Terry Gayle Tutterow
1957 - 2023
MARION, IN, Terry Gayle Tutterow, age 65, of Marion, IN passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born on October 5, 1957, in West Palm Beach, FL, the only child of Wesley Gayle and Phyllis (Cotter) Tutterow.
Terry was a 1976 graduate of Marion High School and attended Purdue University. He later earned his certification as an electrician and was employed by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, where he was a Journeyman inside wireman. He was also a member of IBEW Local 873, Kokomo, IN.
Terry played drums for the Marion High School group, The 26th Street Singers. He enjoyed playing drums even after his high school years. Terry tap danced at his parent’s dance studios, The Playhouse Studio of Dance in Marion, IN and the Tutterow Dancers in Lagro, FL, for many years. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and boating, but most of all spending time with family and friends.
Terry was honorably discharged from the United States Air force, serving as an Avionic Comm Helper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gayle and Phyllis Tutterow.
Terry is survived by his daughter, Brandi Costello; son-in-law, Benjamin Van Sickle, Westville, IN; son, Wesley Roy Tutterow, Valparaiso, IN, and daughter, Autumn Khasawneh, Wickliffe, OH; grandchildren, Giovanni, Gabriel, Gianna, Aria, Jude, Miriam, and Ephraim, many cousins, as well as his former wife and best friend, Beth Helm Huskins (deceased January 20, 2023). Also surviving are the mothers of his children, Linda Tutterow and Heather Willgren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on January 27, 2023 at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E. 38th St. Marion, IN 46953, with Pastor Brad Fullerton officiating. Later in the day, a memorial calling will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Matter Park Garden House, 1 Matter Park Circle Marion, IN 46952. Flowers may be delivered to the Matter Park Garden House on the 27th between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the F.
