GAS CITY, IN - Thomas “Scooter” Watts, age 64, born March 22, 1959, in Joliet, IL to Harry and Betty Watts. Tom died on October 6, 2023, in Fort Wayne, IN at Lutheran Hospital. Tom was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a brick layer in TN, blasted rock in FL, and drove a dump truck. Tom was a friend to many and loved to make people laugh. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, and traveling the world. He would often refer to himself as “World Famous Tom.”

Tom is survived by his wife, Debra Watts of Gas City, IN; two daughters, Nicole (Marcus) Bruekner and Michelle (Marco) Barringer, both of Germany; two step-sons, Brian (Kian) Weigand of Kokomo, IN and Jason Herring of Marion, IN; sister, Trudy Kotte of Alexandria, IN, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild; niece, Theresa Keefer of Alexandria, IN, two great nieces, and one great nephew, as well as many beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Tom's life will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at The Stonecrest Manor Community Center, 2801 Stone Road #500, Marion, IN, 46953 at 1:00 p.m., Brian Weigand officiating with fellowship after until 4:00 p.m. Flowers may be delivered to the Stonecrest Manor Community Center from 10:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. For additional information and to view Tom’s online obituary, please visit www.churchfuneralsdirect.com.
