MARION, INDIANA - Ruth Ellen Isenbarger, 99, of Marion, Indiana passed away peacefully on March 2, 2018 in her residence. She was born on August 22, 1918 in Marion, Indiana to the late Arthur and Velma Hewitt. On August 23, 1945 she married the late Clive Isenbarger. Ruth worked at Marsh North until she retired in 1980. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, Alaska, California, South Carolina and Ohio.
Ruth is survived by three children David J. (Dedra) Isenbarger, Chapin, South Carolina, Susan D (Gene) Faunce, Gas City, Indiana, James L. (Traci) Isenbarger, Marion, Indiana; six grandchildren, Nicole (Andrew) Isenbarger, Heidi (Brian) Isenbarger, Christie ( Monty) Stotz, Brad (Angela) Faunce, Travis (Megan) Isenbarger, and Ashley Isenbarger; five great grandchildren, Leo Durand, Vanessa Stotz, Jocelyn Faunce, Chace Faunce, Genevie Faunce and Tanner Isenbarger. She is also survived by one sister Carolyn Rogers and one brother Dale (Nila) Hewitt. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Hewitt and Richard Hewitt.
Viewing will start at noon with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Hillside Wesleyan Church, 2510 S. Home Avenue, Marion, Indiana with Pastor Gary Bingham officiating. Burial will follow at Estates of Serenity Cemetery. A meal and time of fellowship at the church will follow the burial.
