GAS CITY, INDIANA – DARREL “GENE” FAUNCE, age 65, of Gas City, Indiana passed away on October 4, 2019 at the Visiting Nurse Hospice, Fort Wayne, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Marion, Indiana on May 17, 1954 and was the youngest son of the late Arthur and Sarah (Mills) Faunce. Gene was employed at Marion Community Schools until he retired in 2007. He was also the owner of Gas City Bait & Tackle.

Gene is survived by his wife Susan; two children, Christie (Monty) Stotz of Edgerton, Ohio and Bradley (Angela) Faunce of Gas City, Indiana; and four grandchildren, Vanessa Stotz, Jocelyn Faunce, Chace Faunce and Genevie Faunce. He has one surviving sister Janet Landis of Chesapeake, Virginia. Gene was preceded in death by his brothers Richard Faunce and Charles Faunce and his sister Donna Barse.

A memorial service will be held at Hillside Wesleyan Church, 2510 Home Avenue, Marion, IN 46953 on October 18, 2019 at 11am. Friends are invited to come at 10am for a time of visitation.
