WARSAW, IN – John Russell Paseka, age 58, of Warsaw, IN, stepped into heaven with his family by his side, on September 4, 2021. He was born on November 3, 1962 to the late Phil and Nancy Paseka (Garber) in Warsaw, IN. John graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1981 and married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Marron, on August 22, 1981. John was a member of Pleasant View Bible Church for 40 years and was active as a deacon and faithfully served with his wife in the 2 and 3 year old classes for 30 of those years. He had the opportunity to do God’s work on several mission trips overseas, as well as serving on the car care committee locally. He was involved in and passionate about the work of All Things New, local recovery center. He often handed out Bibles to people to help spread God’s Word. John was saved by Grace at the age of 17 and spent the next 41 years telling everyone about the faith that found him.

After working for R.R. Donnelly & Sons for 17 years, he started his own business, Personal Crop Insurance. He often said he did not have clients, he had friends who happened to farm. John was a huge Green Bay Packers fan and loved collecting beer cans, even though he never drank. He was member #7594 of the Beer Can Collectors of America and enjoyed going to their beer “CANventions”. John will be remembered most for his love of life and how he enjoyed talking to people. He was the type of person who never knew a stranger and would do anything he could to help anyone.

John is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bev Paseka of Warsaw, IN; children, Sarah Paseka of Indianapolis, IN and Jeremiah (Betsy) Paseka of Warsaw, IN; siblings, Melody (Steve) Skees of Atwood, IN, Kim Griffith (partner Ed Banghart) of Warsaw, IN, Phil (Deb) Paseka of Warsaw, IN, and Rodger (Cindy) Paseka of Bourbon, IN, as well as grandson, Henry Paseka.

Burial will be private at Pleasant View Cemetery just prior to visitation. Family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Pleasant View Bible Church, 2782 W. 200 N., Warsaw, IN 46580. A service will follow at 5:30 p.m. with Pastors Mike Hontz and Jason Alley officiating. Instead of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Pleasant View Bible Church Missions or to the church Deacon’s Fund, in honor of John.
