Dulcie Alane McFarland, 49, passed away September 5, 2017 at 6:57 PM at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Sunday, August 25, 1968 in Lima, Ohio to Robert and Beverly (Smith) Shepard Jr. Her father preceded her in death, her mother survives in Lima.
Alane’s life was all about music, and she enjoyed watching local bands perform. She was an exceptional cook with a bigger than life personality and she was fiercely independent. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Alane is survived by her mother Beverly Shepard, son Joshua Hattery of Columbus, daughter Veronica (Frank Wise) Hattery of Delphos, sister Beth (Ronnie) Tummel of Lima, and Robert (Holly) Shepard III of Lima. She had 4 nieces and 3 nephews.
A private graveside service will be held for Alane at Shawnee Cemetery.
