SPRINGFIELD, OH – Azalene Taylor, age 92, of Springfield, died on April 5, 2024, at her home. She was born on October 20, 1931, in Craftsville, KY, to the late Lawson and Virgie Hall (Meade). She loved to tell jokes, was always dressed to the nines, and her home was always immaculate. She was also a longtime member of Forest Valley Freewill Baptist Church in Springfield.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl McKinley Taylor and grandchildren, Eric, Gary Lee II, and Sarah Elisabeth Richter.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Taylor (Ric Thomas) and Chandice (Tom) Porter; sister, Joan Bruton; grandchildren, Todd Richter, Tom Porter Jr., and Scott Porter; great grandchildren, Meygan Richter, Presley Richter, Ashleigh Richter, Brandon Richter, Carmen Zavala, Taylor Zavala, Dylan Porter, Samantha Porter, Terri Stinnett, Michael Richter, Beck Richter; great great grandchildren, Liam Stinnett and Murphy Colley, as well as brother-in-law, Charles Taylor.

Visitation will be Friday, April 12, 2024, at 12:00 PM with a funeral service following at 1:00 PM at Forest Valley Freewill Baptist Church, 1821 Troy Rd., Springfield, OH 45504. Pastor Del Wallace will officiate. Burial will be at Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, OH. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Friday between 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
