ROSSBURG, OH – Dan L. Billenstein, age 68, of Rossburg, died Friday, November 10, 2023, at his residence. He is the son of the late Bill and Ermel Billenstein (Rarick), born August 8, 1955, in Greenville, OH. Dan was a 1973 graduate of Ansonia High School and married Connie Hollinger, on August 9, 1997, in North Star, OH. He worked for many years as a farmer, but also owned and operated his own sawmill which included wood working. Dan loved gardening and was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church near North Star, OH. Family and friends will always remember him for “knowing all the answers.”

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Connie; son, Steve (April) Billenstein; stepdaughter, Kayla (Tyler) Bullard; son-in-law, Bob York; grandchildren, Levi Billenstein, Peyton Billenstein, Cassidy York, Colton York, Claire York; brothers, Leroy (Wanda) Billenstein, John (Jane) Billenstein, and Ron (Theresa) Billenstein, as well as sisters, Carol (Jack) Myers and Linda (Tony) Baker.

Dan is preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie York and his sister, Martha Allread.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 13495 Greenville St. Marys Rd., Versailles, OH 45380. Family will also receive friends at 9:30 A.M. on Thursday, November 16, 2023, also at the church, where a service will follow at 10:30 A.M. with Vicker Andrea McDonough officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Lunch will follow the burial. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Wednesday, November 15th between 8:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.
