Hayden Matthew Smith

ROSSBURG, OH - Hayden Matthew Smith, 16, of Rossburg, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023, due to injuries sustained from a traffic accident.
He was born on April 13, 2007, in Akron, Ohio, to Doug and Tiphany (Kyer) Stephan.
Hayden was preceded in death by his sister, Angel Marie Smith and his paternal grandparents, Edward and Zoeann Stephan.
In addition to his parents, Hayden is survived by his siblings, Hayley Smith, and Juli and Josh Stephan; his maternal grandparents, Wayne and Jennifer Kyer of Stow; his aunt, Faith Kyer of Stow; his uncles, Tim (Candace) Kyer and their children, Tyson and Christian, also of Stow, Mike Stephan of North Star, and Keith (Julia) Lance of Hanover, Pennsylvania. Hayden also leaves behind numerous other family members and friends.
Hayden was an outgoing young man who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to help his dad and his uncle Mike around the farm and working at Albers Dairy Farm in Maria Stein, Ohio. He liked working with his hands and tinkering around with anything mechanical. He loved his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Common Ground Christian Church, 120 W. Oakwood St., Bradford, Ohio, 45308, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The family will also be receiving guests on Friday at 10:00 AM, at the church, where services honoring Hayden’s life will follow at 11:00 AM with Russell Wulber officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery in Versailles. The family requests that everyone dress casually and comfortably. Hayden wouldn’t want anyone to have to “get fancy”.
A meal will be provided following the burial at St. Paul Lutheran Church located at 13495 Greenville St. Marys Road, Versailles, Ohio 45380. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Thursday, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the church in honor of Hayden.
