ARCANUM – Larry E. Fourman, 83, of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at his home.

He was born on January 22, 1940, in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Orval and Treva (Fasnacht) Fourman.

Larry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carole A. (Fairbanks) Fourman, whom he married on February 23, 1963; his children, Terri (Roger) Vetter of Plain City, Ohio, Kevin (Edit) Fourman of Arcanum, Lisa (Terry) Gower of Arcanum, and Neal (Michelle) Fourman of Ithaca. He also leaves behind his 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and his siblings, Wayne (Carol) Fourman and Phyllis Shields.

Larry lived in Darke County his entire life. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, camping and fishing with friends and family. He was a farmer and a dealer of used farm equipment, which allowed him to meet new people and make new friends. He was brought into this world in the house on his family’s farm, and he left this world in the same way, watching the sun set over his farm.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, December 29, 2023, at SonRise Church, 750 Arcanum Ithaca Road, Arcanum, Ohio 45331, with a funeral service following at 1:00 PM with Pastor Maggie Sykes officiating. Burial will follow at Ithaca Cemetery.
