Daniel Cox
1993 - 2023
GREENVILLE – Daniel Michael Cox, age 30, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away early Saturday morning, December 30, 2023, at his home.
He was born on November 26, 1993, in Piqua, Ohio, to Michael and Tatiayana (Akers) Cox of Greenville.
In addition to his parents, Daniel is survived by his sister, Hannah (Jason) Meeks of Greenville; his brother, Samuel (Alexis) Cox of Alger, Ohio; his “foster” grandmother, Treva Westfall; his nieces, Gabriella and Chloe; his nephew, Lucas; his aunts and uncles, Phillip Maddaffer, Sheridan McDaniels, Dennis Cox, Cheryl Cox, Scott Cox, Mark Cox, and Alisa Cox. Daniel is also survived by a brand-new baby nephew, Daniel Cox, named in his honor.
Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Janice Cox; his maternal grandparents, Ralph Akers, and Barbara Garcia; his “foster” grandfather, James Westfall; his aunts, Deborah Warfe, Saundra Akers, and Judy Catalano; and his uncles, Gregory Warfe, and Stephen Miller.
Daniel was not only an academic honor student, but actively served in several clubs throughout his high school and college career. He continued to be active in several community activities and causes. He enjoyed robotics and card competitions, gardening, cooking, candle making, festivals, and exploring nature. He loved his family, friends, and his dogs. The empty space he has left behind will be felt and his presence will be missed by all the lives he touched.
A service honoring Daniel’s life will be held at a later date and will be posted on his family’s Facebook pages when scheduled. ChurchFunerals Direct is serving Daniel’s family.
