HOLLANSBURG, OHIO – Mitchell York Hopkins, age 30, of Hollansburg, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his residence on July 16, 2018. He was born on August 5, 1987 at Miami Valley Hospital. Mitch married Sharli (Whittington) Phillips on January 31, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Sharli, son Marc, stepchildren Maggie and Johnathan Phillips, all living at home, mother Lisa Miller of Palestine, father Rex Hopkins, Sr. of Hollansburg, brother Rex Allan Hopkins, Jr. and grandmother Barbara Foreman of Palestine, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Rex & Betty (Hamm) Hopkins of Arcanum, his beloved grandfather Charles Foreman of Palestine and infant brother Charles Hopkins.

Mitchell was a member of the Palestine Church of Christ. He was an avid lover of children and animals, a good and loyal friend and an even better husband, father and son. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and was a member of the Undesirable Motorcycle Club of Winchester, Indiana. He was a true free spirit and enjoyed many different hobbies and activities.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 20th at Ft. Jefferson United Methodist Church, 3856 Church Street, Greenville, Ohio from 10am until noon. The funeral service will be at noon with interment immediately following at the Palestine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Mitchell's family to be used toward funeral expenses.
