DEFIANCE, OH – Anita R. McAdow, age 69, of Defiance, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 23, 1953, to the late Robert and Evelyn Scott (Guilford) in Defiance, OH. Anita worked in factories most of her life and retired from Silgan in Napoleon OH. She loved being outdoors and camping with her family. Those that knew her remember her as a woman dedicated to her family and she always looked forward to any occasion where the family could get together.

Anita leaves behind her sons, Joe (Laurie) Froelich and Lenny (Pam Miller) Froelich; daughters, Lori (John Blashfield) Lemmon and Kelli (Joe) Bok; partner, Daniel L. “Danny” Brown; brother, Paul Scott; grandchildren, Deven, Sophia, Zoee, and Brittany Froelich, Dustin (Jessica) Hamilton, Tommy Sue and Tyler Bok; great grandchildren, Alexus, Zionah, Sloan, Dean, Adelyn, and Lane, as well as several other extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gary McAdow; son, Shon Froelich, and siblings, Gill Scott, Marcie Lively, and Larry Scott.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Family Christian Center, 1834 E. 2nd Street, Defiance, OH 43512 with Pastor Tim Tracy officiating. Family will receive friends and family beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the church. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the church or to the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center, in honor of Anita.
