DEFIANCE, OH – Chandra L. Dobbins, age 38, of Defiance, passed on to her heavenly home on Friday, February 16, 2024. She was born on September 17, 1985, in Toledo, OH, to Marvin and Teresa Young (Deming). Chandra was a 2004 graduate of Defiance High School and obtained her associate degree in accounting from NWSCC. Her passion in life was her children and she thrived as a stay-at-home mom. She enjoyed music and loved to sing. She also loved animals of all kinds and rescued several over the years. She was the kind of soul who cared for all life, not even killing spiders. Her final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. Chandra will be remembered as a great mom, daughter, sister, and friend, with a calm demeanor whose laughter was infectious.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Vernon & Betty Young; maternal grandfather, Rolland Deming Sr.; step-grandfather, Roy Baker, and cousins Jason and David Young, Patrick and Jared Deming, and Brandon Britton.

Chandra is survived by her parents, Marvin (Cindy) Young and Teresa Young (Edward Conner); children, Payton Harper and Briggs Oden Dobbins; sisters, Chelsea (Ryan) O'Malley and Christi (Stephen) Oholendt; grandmother, Deloris Baker; nephew, Shea O'Malley; niece, Mariah O'Malley; close family friend, David Mast, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Defiance Church of the Nazarene, 1656 Jefferson Ave. in Defiance. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the church with Pastor Scott Williams officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Thursday between 3-5pm. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Defiance, OH.
