1929 - 2020
MEDINA, OHIO – GLORIA LOUISE FOWLS, age 90, of Medina, OH passed away on April 24, 2020 at Medina Meadows Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 30, 1929 to the late Axel and Margaret Swanson (nee Walsh). In 1951, Gloria married the love of her life, Seaman 2nd Class Dale Fowls and started a family. When she wasn’t working or looking after her children, she enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Karen) Fowls of Chippewa Lake, OH, David Fowls of Medina, OH, and Debi (Bill) Smith of Medina, OH; grandchildren, Adam, Trista, Evan, Marissa, Tiffany, and Jennifer, as well as 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Gloria is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Dale Fowls and several siblings.
