1944 - 2020
DAYTON, OH – Bean, Sr., Leroy, age 76, of Dayton, OH, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Leroy was born on May 21, 1944 in Clarksdale, MS to the late Dutch Sr. and Lee Doish Bean (Groves). He married his high school sweetheart, Olivia Marbury, on January 7, 1967 and began raising a family. He worked as a welder for GM, retiring after 40 years of service. Leroy will always be remembered as a “family man” who loved to cook.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Dutch Bean, Jr., Leon Bean, Deborah Bean, Diane Bean, and Willie Bean, Sr.
Leroy leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 53 years, Olivia Bean (Marbury); children, Dianna Romine of Huber Heights, OH, Deanna Bean of Dayton, OH, Leroy (Leslie) Bean of Cincinnati, OH, Leanna (Carlton) Williams of Columbus, OH, Lisa (Melvin) Walder of Cincinnati, OH, Jimmy (Sonya) Bean of Mooresville, NC, Jermaine Bean of Cincinnati, OH, and Jamar (Kimiko Shin Mercedes) Bean of Dayton, OH; siblings, Jimmie (Joan) Bean of Dayton, OH and Delores Bean of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, DaShay Perry, Charles Romine (Jessica Blakes), Leroy D. Bean, Devin Bean, Austin (Jontae) Ford, DeAsia Byrd, DeBria Mays, Carlton Williams III, Bryce Williams, Jayla Bean, Jamar Bean, Jr., Noriko Bean, Jimmy Bean, Jr., Jaylen Bean, Lyndsey Ramsaw, Triston McDonald, and Jamiya Ware, as well as numerous friends.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Dominion Ministries International, 6542 N. Union Rd., Clayton, OH 45315. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Bruce Moxley officiating. Burial will be at West Memory Gardens, Moraine, OH. Flowers may be delivered to the church on December 16th between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Due to COVID-19, face masks will be worn and social distancing will be observed.
