BROOKVILLE, OH – Sease-Gunter, Shanda, age 74, of Brookville, passed away on December 20, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 2, 1946 in Greenville, OH. Shanda was a graduate of Franklin Monroe High School and obtained her LPN license from the Career Technology Center in Clayton, OH. On June 3, 2005, she married William Gunter on her parents’ farm in Arcanum, OH. Shanda was involved in the women’s ministry at The Ridge Church in Brookville and was active at the Dayton Women’s Life Center. She will be remembered for her love of family traditions and spending the holidays and birthdays with family. Shanda also enjoyed quilting, sewing, and was very fond of her cats.

Shanda is preceded in death by her father, Dale Sease and brother, Fred Sease.

Shanda is survived by her mother, Betty Sease (Brumbaugh) of Greenville, OH; husband of 15 years, William Gunter of Brookville, OH; children, Lisa (Janine) Johnson of San Francisco, CA, Kurt (Jackie) Carothers of Dayton, OH, Michelle Carter of Arcanum, OH, and Julie Langford of Miamisburg, OH; sister, Annette (Rex) Stewart of Arcanum, OH; 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, as well as a host of friends.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 28, 2020 at The Ridge Church, 7555 Brookville-Phillipsburg Rd., Brookville, OH 45309. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church with Pastors Rollie Rench and Kenneth Stewart officiating. Interment will take place at Abbottsville Cemetery, Arcanum, OH. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Monday from 9 – 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the church or Hospice of Dayton.
