Robert A. Cameron, Jr., 92, of Somerville, OH, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 7, 2021, at Woodland Country Manor. Robert was redeemed by Christ and renewed by the Holy Spirit in the likeness of Christ. Robert had a lifelong love of books and learning and wanted his whole life, moral and intellectual, to glorify God by showing his love and enjoyment of God.

Robert was born on August 3, 1929, in Kansas City, MO, to the late Robert and Winifred (Moore) Cameron. He grew up in southern California and was a graduate of Fallbrook Union Grammar School, Venice High School, and UCLA (engineering). Robert met Ramona Wood at UCLA and they married in 1952. He retired in 1995 as Director of TRADOC Analysis Center–Fort Lee (VA). He was the recipient of the Meritorious Civilian Service Award, the Superior Civilian Service Award, and an honorary degree of Master Logistician from the US Army Combined Arms and Support Command.

Robert and Ramona were active members of West Hopewell Presbyterian Church, Hopewell, VA, for over 30 years. In retirement, Robert avidly pursued reading and volunteered in various church activities, at robotics competitions, at West End Christian School, Hopewell, and at the Pregnancy Support Center of the Tri-Cities.

Robert is survived by sons, Stephen of Hopewell, VA, Timothy (Susan), of Oxford, OH, and Andrew (Seema) of Pleasanton, CA; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brother, Ted (Sally) Cameron of Redondo Beach, CA; brother-in-law, Jack Lyons, of Saco, ME, and numerous nieces and nephews.
