NEW MADISON – Tyler Simpson, age 20, of New Madison, OH, died on May 7, 2023, from injuries sustained in a car accident on May 6th. Tyler was born on September 13, 2002, in Dayton, OH to Todd and Paula Simpson. Tyler worked as a mechanic alongside his grandfather, Mark Simpson, at Simpson Automotive Competition; and had plans to become ASE Certified and take over the family business. He also bought and resold cars and wanted to start a t-shirt business with the Christian messages that he made up, which he and his paternal grandmother kept in a book. When he wasn’t at work, Tyler enjoyed working on his race cars, hanging out with his friends, and just living life. His family and friends will remember him most for his laughter, his joyfulness, his jokes, and his smile.

Tyler is preceded in death by his father, Todd Simpson; sister, Jasmine Marcum, and aunt, Tosha Simpson.

He leaves behind his mother, Paula Simpson; brother, Dominique Rice; maternal grandparents, Gladys and Paul Staley; paternal grandparents, Mark and Tana Simpson, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, Dayton, OH. In a final act of giving, Tyler was an organ donor, and his heart was given so that someone else could go on living.
