BEAVERCREEK, OH – Mary Joyce Weihrauch, formerly Mary Joyce Dunlevy "Grankie" passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Mary's kind, giving, and compassionate nature touched the lives of many, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
Born on Sunday, August 12, 1934, to Michael and Bertha Dunlevy, Mary grew up in Kettering, OH and attended Fairmont High School. She was married to Donald E. Weihrauch of Dayton, OH in 1952 and quickly moved to Barstow, CA where Donald was serving in the United Stated Marine Corp. based in the Mohave Desert during the Korean War.
She is survived by daughters, Victoria Weihrauch, Penny Pickens, and Yvonne Perez; grandchildren, London Rosa, Larry Fields, Justin Gray, Timothy Weihrauch, Brandon Gray, Donald Weihrauch III, Erica Weihrauch, Jessica Weihrauch, Candace Weihrauch, Priscilla Perez, Timothy Perez, and Isabella Perez; great-grandchildren, Jake Kanhai, Clarissa Rosa, Dirk Weihrauch, Madison Bowman, Isaac Gray, Layla Gray, and Israelle Gray; great-great-grandchild; Hawke Morris; brother, Wayne Dunlevy, and sister Nancy Doty.
Mary was an active member of New Life Church in Dayton, where she loved to worship with her friends and family. Her generous spirit and unwavering dedication to her faith touched the lives of many, leaving an everlasting impact on their spiritual journeys. Mary's strong faith was an integral part of her life. Mary was passionate about winning souls for Christ, never missing an opportunity to spread the gospel. Her "Birthday Scriptures" were legendary.
Mary was preceded in death by Donald Weihrauch, Sr. and Riley Daniels; loving parents, Michael “Micky” and Bertha Dunlevy; beloved sons, Timothy “Tiny” Weihrauch and Donald Weihrauch II, and siblings, Barbara Armstrong, Alice Dunlevy, Doris Monnin, Joann Dunlevy, Jerry Dunlevy, Michael Dunlevy, Shirley Keydocious, and Georgia Villano.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Church, 3350 Benchwood Road, Dayton, OH 45414. A service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Friend officiating. Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, OH. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Tuesday between 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the church, in honor of Mary.
