DAYTON, OH – Daniel Michael Lee Papp, age 41, of Dayton, died suddenly on Friday, June 23, 2023. He was born on October 11, 1981, to Michael and Betty Papp (Walton) in Milwaukee, WI. He loved the outdoors and nature; he especially enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and camping. Daniel was also a huge fan of Star Wars and was very good with technology. His favorite teams were the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Bucks. Daniel also had a close relationship with God, having been filled with the Holy Spirit on November 29, 1987 and then baptized in Jesus’ name on December 6, 1987 at Elim Tabernacle in Greenfield, WI. Friends and family will remember him as being a loyal and devoted individual who cared deeply for his family. He had a true servant’s heart.

In addition to his parents, Daniel leaves behind his brother, Landon (Lisa) Papp; sister, Nicole (Tom) Friend; nieces, Rachel Papp and Nora Friend; nephews, Andrew Papp, Jonas Friend, and Silas Friend, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at New Life Church, 3350 Benchwood Road, Dayton, OH 45414, where a service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Friend officiating. Burial will be private at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, Dayton, OH. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Thursday between 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the church in honor of Daniel.
