In loving memory of

Dorothy "Perry" Eldridge

1940 - 2018

Dorothy (Perry) Eldridge, 77, of Fairborn, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. She fought a long, hard battle and was peacefully escorted into her Savior’s arms.
Dorothy was born July 8, 1940 in Crandon, Wisconsin to the late James and Mildred Perry.
She graduated from Fairborn High School in 1958 and married her love, Walter Barker in May of 1960 in Pikeville, Kentucky. After his passing in 1986, Dorothy married Johnnie Eldridge in 1989 and the two were together until his passing. Dorothy retired from Star Bank in 1991 as Assistant Branch Manager in Fairborn and loved her career.
She enjoyed reading, garage saleing, listening to George Jones, and especially spending time with her family and friends and taking care of those she loved.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mildred Perry; husband, Walter Barker; second husband, Johnnie Eldridge; and brothers, Gene and Clyde Perry.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Rhonda) Barker and Steve (Jan) Barker; grandchildren, Lorna, Michael and Paige; great-grandchildren, Kylee, Bradyn, Logan, Lucas and Silas; siblings, J.B. (Elsie) Perry, Kathy Adams, and Carl (Judie) Perry; special friend and caregiver, Dottie Owsley, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her sassy nature and spunky attitude made her a force to be reckoned with. She was a dedicated and hard worker, a loving and devoted mother, and a very proud grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
A Visitation will be held at Fairborn Freewill Baptist Church, 16 Edna Ave., Fairborn, OH 45324, on Wednesday February 28, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00pm, and the funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday March 1, 2018 with Pastor Steve Wagoner officiating.
