BROOKVILLE, OHIO – Teddy “Ted” R. Phillips, age 60, of Brookville, Ohio passed away on October 24, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 9, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio to Clarence and Rose (Mullins) Phillips. Ted graduated in 1977 from Northmont High School.

Ted was a member of New Life Worship Center in Dayton and was an over-the-road truck driver for over 30 years. He enjoyed traveling across the USA in his truck and operating heavy equipment over the years with his father prior to his father’s passing. Ted was a real family man and took great pleasure in spending time with his family and loved his Lord Jesus Christ. He especially looked forward to family gatherings at his cabin in Kentucky, as well as going on Corvette cruises.

He is survived by a son Teddy J. Phillips of Brookville, a daughter Brittany Phillips (Cody Oyler) of Greenville, a stepson Justin (Danielle) Rike of Clayton; three grandchildren, and three siblings; Connie (Merrill) Lavy of Arcanum, Clarence (Sue) Phillips of Clayton, and Bonnie (David – deceased) Brooks of Lewisburg.

Ted was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Phillips; his wife, Tracy Phillips; and a brother-in-law, David Brooks.

Viewing and visitation will be on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10:00am to 11:00am at New Life Worship Center, 3350 Benchwood Road, Dayton, Ohio 45414. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am and also will be at the church, with Pastor Tom Friend officiating. Burial will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, 7217 National Road, Brookville, Ohio 45309.

Flowers may be delivered to the church on Saturday from 8:30 to 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be made in Ted’s honor to Crossroads Hospice. Donation envelopes will be available at the church.
