Alaina Nichole Gibson of West Alexandria, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Her death was sudden and unexpected. She was born on January 7, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio to Steven Gibson and Amy Scott. Alaina had the biggest and brightest blue eyes and beautiful blonde hair that stood straight up. She loved to be held and talked to. Anything orange immediately had her attention and made her smile. Her smile was so big it would light up an entire room. It could immediately transform a bad mood frown into a happy smile. Even at 8 months old, she had to have the best of everything.

Alaina is survived by her father Steven Gibson and her mother Amy Scott; grandparents Clifford & Sherri Scott and Michael & Melinda Gibson; great grandmother Lesley Gibson; great grandfather Gary Pommeranz; aunts Mika Gibson and Sarah Shepherd; and numerous uncles including Justin Phillips, Joshua Zwisler and many others.

She was preceded in death by her great grandmothers Mary Scott, Cathy Pommeranz and Betty Hamby; great grandfathers William Hamby and Leslie Gibson; and great uncles Michael Hamby and Steven Gibson.

Visitation will be Friday, September 29, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Community Christian Church, 11 Dorsey Akers Drive, West Alexandria, Ohio. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetary, West Alexandria. Floral arrangements may be delivered to the church on the morning of the service from 8:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers the family will accept donations toward Alaina’s headstone and/or memorial contributions may be made to Community Christian Church at the above address.
