Robert Louis “Bobby” Swearingen, 37, passed away November 6, 2017 at Mercy Health Lima. Formerly of Mechanicsburg, he was a resident of Sidney, Ohio.
Bobby was born on May 21, 1980, in London, Ohio to Paul Swearingen and Lorraine Morehast. Lorraine survives in Urbana. He grew up in Mechanicsburg and enjoyed working on cars, fishing and spending time with his family. On May 19, 2001 he married Teresa Reddy, who survives in Sidney.
In addition to Teresa, Bobby is survived by his three children, Robert Swearingen Jr. and Jerry Davis, both of Sidney, and Marissa Swearingen of Columbus, Ohio. Surviving also are two brothers: Terry (Danyell) Swearingen and Kevin Johnson (Mary Jackson), Sisters-in-Law: Geneva McCorkle, (son; Clint McCorkle), Justine Grumbley, Tonya Reddy, and Lori Reddy, and a brother-in-law: Francis (Wendy) Reddy. He has 7 surviving nephews, 3 nieces, and 1 great niece. Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Robert and Florence Moreheart, and his Father-in-Law, Patrick Reddy.
He dearly loved his family and will be sorely missed.
Services will be held Friday, November 17th at 6:00pm at Salm, McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home, 502 S. Ohio Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Friends may call for visitation for one hour prior to the service time. Because Bobby was a huge fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, the family requests that you wear Bengal attire, or at least something orange if possible.
