Charles J. Stantz, Sr., age 79, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 11, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 7, 1939 in Bolivar, Ohio to the late Harold and Ella (Harris) Stantz. Charles was a retired roofer. He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary C. (Riehl) Stantz, one brother John Stantz , a sister Edna (Stantz) Riehl, and granddaughter Stephanie Casto. Charles is survived by sons: Charles (Laurie) Stantz, Jr., Dustin Metz and daughters: Brenda Stantz, Tammy (Gary) Hughes, Cynthia Pugh, Melinda (Calvin) Moon, Rebecca Stantz and Lora Lennon (Ashley Dingle). He has numerous grandchildren and great-children that he dearly loved. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. with a memorial service to follow at 2 P.M. . Services will be held at Louisville First Assembly of God located at 1921 West Main St. Louisville, Ohio with Pastor Dan Deem officiating. Burial will follow the service at Warstler Cemetery located 2633 55th St. Canton, Ohio.
