OHIO CITY, OH – Bruce Lowell Baker, age 83, was called into the presence of the Lord on January 4, 2022. Bruce was born on April 3, 1938 in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Earl Edison and Alta Mae (Williamson) Baker. On July 24, 1959, at the First Methodist Church in Van Wert, OH, he married the love of his life, Barbara Anne Miller.

Bruce invented the Air Wings motorcycle accessory and with his wife, Barbara, he owned Baker Built Products and Baker Built Air Wings. He also restored and showed antique tractors in his spare time, traveling to many trade shows with Barbara at his side, enjoying life as it came. He was a longtime member of Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert, although he enjoyed attending other various local churches as well.

Bruce is survived by his children, Jane Cozad of Celina, OH and John (Michele) Baker of Ohio City, OH; brothers, Gale “Tim” (Linda) Baker of Convoy, OH and Darle R. (Linda) Baker of Ohio City, OH; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and a brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” (Margaret) Miller.

In addition to his parents, Bruce is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Anne Baker; sister, Iris (Robert-deceased) Laukhuf, and brother-in-law, Stan (Janelle-deceased) Miller.

Visitation will be at Trinity Friends Church, 605 N. Franklin St., Van Wert, OH 45891 on January 11, 2022 from 4:30-7:30 PM. Funeral service will be on January 12, 2022 at 11 AM, with Pastor Matt McGovern officiating, also at the church. Family will receive friends on Wednesday 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City, OH. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Tuesday between 1-4 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons, CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association), or to the church, in memory of Bruce.
