VAN WERT, OHIO – Harold Dean Keith, age 82, passed away September 30, 2018. He was born November 9, 1935 in Van Wert County, OH to the late Nolan and Florence (Knittle) Keith. Harold graduated from Hoaglin Jackson High School in 1953, and was a former employee of Kennedy Manufacturing and Ohio Power Company. Harold retired in 2002 after 40 years of farming. He enjoyed going to car shows with his classic 1987 Chevy El Camino, and was an avid Lincolnview Lancer Booster and OSU Buckeyes supporter. He was also a former member of the Farm Focus Committee, the NRA, and was a staunch American Patriot. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother William Keith. Harold is survived by his son Mark Keith and his grandson Zachary Keith, both of Van Wert. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00am at Trinity Friends Church, 605 N. Franklin Street, Van Wert, OH with Pastor Greg Rice officiating. A private family inurnment will be held on a future date. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral beginning at 9:30am at the church. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Thursday from 1-4 pm and Friday morning between 8:30-9:30am. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the family to help with the funeral costs. Donation envelopes will be available at the church.
