1953 - 2019
VAN WERT, OHIO – Mary Evelyn Miller, age 65, of Van Wert, Ohio passed away on February 14, 2019. She was born on March 3, 1953 in Lima, Ohio to the late Hugh Burnett and Wanda Putman. Mary graduated in 1972 from Greenville High School. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Miller. Also preceding her was a sister, Donna Jean (Michael) Hampton of Lima.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Sue Fries of Greenville, two brothers Homer (Carol) Burnett of Celina, Ray (Donna) Burnett of Greenville; and two sisters Gay (Charles) Wiles of Van Wert and Martha (Tom) Melcho of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Mary enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, watching movies and traveling the United States. Mary was a very warm and loving friend to her many friends. She was deeply religious and found great comfort in the arms of Jesus.
A viewing will be held at the Van Wert Victory Church of God, 10698 U.S. Route 127, Van Wert, Ohio, 45891 on Friday, February 22, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the church with Bishop Larry Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford, Ohio.
