COLUMBIA CITY, IN – Martha Alice Connell, age 78, of Columbia City, died on Sunday, August 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 6, 1945, in Denver, IN., to the late Arnold and Jessie Fisher. Martha was a 1963 graduate of North Miami High School and later went on to earn her associates degree from International Business College. She worked as an administrative secretary for Mutual Security Life Insurance Company up until her retirement. Martha loved playing cards, especially Euchre and Bridge, gardening, and most importantly, spending time with her family.

She leaves behind her loving daughters, Laura Sanford, Chris (Marty) Tripp, Angela (Mike) Graves, and Jennifer Gandolfo; grandchildren, Lorren (Brandon) Suffel, Alex (Kiersten) Sanford, Logan Smith, Evan (Emily) Graves, Jake Gandolfo, Ryan Graves, Sydney Gandolfo; great grandchildren, RaeLynn Suffel, Penelope Sanford, and devoted partner, Keith Simerman.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters, Rose Fisher and Sharon Fisher.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on August 27, 2024, at Central Ministries, 14717 Amstutz Road, Leo, IN 46765. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on August 28, 2024, with 1 hour of visitation just prior, at the church. Pastor Rob Bogle will officiate. Flowers may be delivered to the church on August 27th between 2:00 and 4:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the church, in honor of Martha.
