Myles G. Wilson
1967 - 2025
GAS CITY, IN – Myles G. Wilson, age 58, of Gas City, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2025, at Marion Health in Marion, Indiana, after a year and a half battle with lung and brain cancer.
He was born on April 16, 1967, in Dearborn, Michigan, to the late George A. and June E. (Orr) Wilson. In addition to his parents, Myles was preceded in death by his son and his twin brother, George A. Wilson, II.
Myles is survived by the love of his life, soul mate, and fiancé, Ellen Hope Armstrong of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his niece, Andrea Frankie Williams of West Virginia; his sister-in-law, Melissa D. (Large) Wilson of Frankfort, Indiana, along with her three daughters, Alexis, Adison, and Makenzie. He is also survived by his daughter, Tori Jo Smith of Lebanon, Indiana; his grandson, Harlan Leo Stump of Lebanon, Indiana; and his best friends, Steve and Whitney Ott and their children, Jett, Titus, Phoenix, and Bennie, all of Marion, Indiana.
Myles graduated from East High School in Pennsylvania. He loved the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, and going to the lake. He loved riding ATVs, especially in the mountains of Kentucky. He also enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, and music. He would start his day listening to praise music, but loved blues, bluegrass, and rock and roll.
Myles was a heavy equipment operator, running an excavator for JTP Excavations, working with his best friend and boss, Steve. He had worked in the construction trade since he was 18 years old and loved to play in the dirt. Myles attended Waynedale Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, and The River in Marion. He loved his Lord and savior and placed his faith in him.
Visitation will be 2 PM to 3 PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Waynedale Baptist Church, 633 Lower Huntington Rd., Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 with a memorial service to follow at 3 PM with Pastor Steve Johnson officiating.
Flowers may be delivered to the church on Saturday between 1 PM and 2 PM. If desired, memorial contributions may be made, in Myles’ honor, to either the church or to his family to help with final expenses.
