FORT WAYNE, IN - Drew Stephen Saddington, a loving son, brother, and grandson, died in an automobile accident on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 15. Drew was born on December 15, 2010, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Stephen and Heather Saddington. He was a rising sophomore at Homestead High School and a member of the Homestead boys soccer team. Drew participated in FCA and Young Life at Homestead. He was beginning his fourth year as a caddie at Sycamore Hills Golf Club. Drew attended Sonrise Church with his family and participated in their youth group. He accepted Jesus as his Savior on March 26, 2017, when he was 6 years old, and is now home with the Lord.

Drew developed an increasing passion for golf. Beginning in 3rd grade, he participated in summer golf tournaments through Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation. He played in a golf tournament the day before he passed away. Drew was actively pursuing the Evans Scholarship, a golf scholarship for caddies to attend a state university. He excelled in math and was considering studying accounting at Purdue University.

Drew was looking forward to getting his driver’s license. He enjoyed playing soccer and loved hanging out with his friends. Drew’s friends and family will remember him most for being kind and thoughtful towards others, a great teammate, and a respected and distinguished caddie.

Drew is survived by his parents, Stephen and Heather Saddington; sisters, Lauren Saddington and Brier Saddington; grandparents, Daniel and Gail Tomashek, and James and Agnes Saddington; aunts and uncles, Daniel Tomashek and Rachel Hepner, Jennifer and Micah Lambert, and Jessica and Aaron Fosnaugh; and cousins, Wyatt Lambert, Owen Lambert, Mia Lambert, and Mack Tomashek.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 10 am to 1 pm at Emmanuel Community Church at 12222 US 24 Hwy W, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46814. A funeral service will follow at the church at 1 pm officiated by Pastor Fred Stayton. Burial will take place after the funeral at Greenlawn Memorial Park at 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Friday between 9 – 11 am. Memorial donations may be made to Sonrise Church at 10125 Illinois Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804. Donation envelopes will be provided at Emmanuel Community Church.
