FORT WAYNE, IN - George L. Curry, age 64, of Fort Wayne, was finally able to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus on July 31, 2026. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN on February 14, 1962, to John and Lee June (Hubbard) Curry, Jr. George was a hardworking man, working at the Purdue University Fort Wayne Campus Shipping and Receiving office for almost 46 years. He enjoyed reading his Bible, watching Cubs baseball, Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts football, as well as Toronto Maple Leaves hockey games.

In addition to his father, John, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nedra (Chapman); daughter, Brenna (Chad) Brotherton; grandchildren, Vron, Marissa, and Vincent; sister, Alice Carole (Wayne) Barker; brother, Bill (Dorcas) Curry, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lee June.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 8, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at Northpoint Community Church, 10513 Leo Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, where a funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Mark Beers. Burial will be on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, IN. His family requests that you consider making a memorial donation to the church or to Stillwater Hospice instead of sending flowers. Envelopes will be provided at the church. However, if you choose to send flowers, kindly arrange for their delivery to the church on Saturday between 9:00-11:00 AM.
