Ronald Knepp
1947 - 2025
WASHINGTON, IN – Ronald D. Knepp, age 78, of Washington, died peacefully on May 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 12, 1947, in Odon, Indiana, to the late James and Clara (Miller) Knepp. Ronald was a 1965 graduate of Odon High School; and later attended IU. On September 10,1966, he married his sweetheart, Pauline Swartzentruber, and the two began raising a family. Ronald was a man of many talents and worked as a coal miner, electrician, and plumber. He was “jack of all trades” at CornPro. Ronald had his pilot’s license, loved collecting coins, and going fishing. He was a volunteer for several years at Right to Life; and could be described as a “people person” with his kind and loving nature. However, Ronald will also be remembered as being a jokester and a comedian with an adventurous and spontaneous spirit.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by infant twin sons, Terry and Larry; daughter, Ronda Trask; sons-in-law, Greg Loyd and Will Trask; granddaughter, Journee Knepp, and sister, Ramona Slaubaugh.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pauline Knepp; children, Kim Loyd, Todd (Trish) Knepp, Ryan Knepp, Rob (Jorie) Knepp, Ashley (Jake) Sims, and Adam Benton; grandchildren, Justin Knepp, Thomas Knepp, Myranda Knepp, Jorden Trask, Aaron Trask, Mykenzie Knepp, Skye Knepp, Hunter Sims, Lexi Knepp; siblings, Maris (Melvin - deceased) Wittmer, Anita (John - deceased) Gingerich, Kathy (Joe) Wagler, Christina (Jackson) Knepp, and Melody (Gaylan) Sommers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Antioch Bible Church, 3007 East US Highway 50, Washington, IN 47501, where a service honoring the life of Ronald Knepp will follow at 2:00 PM, officiated by Elder John Dement. Burial will be at the Antioch Cemetery, Montgomery, IN. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Wednesday between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Antioch Bible Church or to Daviess County Right To Life, in honor of Ronald.
