MUNCIE, IN – Doris L. Young, age 67, of Muncie, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Bethel Point Health and Rehab in Muncie. She was born on May 17, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Dana and Dorothy (Hyatt) Branson. In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Young; and her sister, Barbara Branson.

Doris is survived by her son Russell Branson of Muncie; her grandson, Xavier Branson of Muncie; her sister, Victoria (Thomas) King of Powell, Texas; and her nieces and nephews, Dana Morgan, Victoria Oliver, Mary Burton, Dorothy Morgan, Michael Branson, and Lloyd King.

Doris was a long-time member of the Muncie First Church of the Nazarene. She loved attending and being as involved as she could with her church community and church family. You could often find her reading her Bible.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Muncie First Church of the Nazarene, 3101 N. Benton Rd., Muncie, Indiana 47304, with a memorial service immediately following at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ian Fancher officiating. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Monday, between 10:00 AM and 12 Noon.
