MUNCIE, IN – James E. Wright, age 69, of Muncie, died on October 20, 2024. He was born on April 9, 1955, in Muncie, IN, to Noah and Geneva (Bowling) Wright. James worked as a mechanic for Tunners Automotive, retiring after more than 25 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with family and was known for having fun with family and friends.

James is survived by his mother, Geneva Wright; son, Adam Wright (Amber Taylor); siblings, Shirley Cooper, Kathy Teague, and Danny Wright; stepchildren, Nick, Rachel, Becky, and Joey Bustos; granddaughters, Jayme and Anyah, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and even great great nieces and great great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Noah Wright and brothers, David and Chris Wright.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM at New Horizon Church of the Nazarene, 1915 E. 20th Street, Muncie, IN 47302, where a funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Brent Hickman. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory, Muncie, IN. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Wednesday between 9:00-11:00 AM.
