MUNCIE, IN – Geneva Irene Wright, age 92, of Muncie, died peacefully on June 27, 2025. She was born on June 30, 1932, in Straight Fork, TN, to the late Doc and Ada Lee (Conaster) Bowling. On December 31, 1949, she married her sweetheart, Noah Jackson Wright, and the two began raising a family together. Geneva worked for Muncie Central High School for 50 years in the cafeteria and was lovingly referred to as “the cafeteria lady”. Her passion in life was spending time with her grandchildren, however, she also enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and was a devout reader of the Bible. Her family will remember her most for all of the love and laughter she brought to them throughout the years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Noah Wright; daughter, Charlene Wright, and sons, David, Christopher, and James Wright.

Geneva leaves behind her children, Shirley Cooper, Kathy Teague, and Danny Wright; brother, Gene (Branda) Bowling, 7 grandchildren, as well as several great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 11:00AM - 12:00PM at New Horizon Church of the Nazarene, 1915 E. 20th Street, Muncie, IN 47302. A funeral service will follow at 12:00PM at the church, officiated by Pastor Brent Hickman. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory, Muncie, IN. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Thursday between 9:00 – 11:00AM. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the church, in honor of Geneva.
