Pamela “Pam” Karleen McBride

1936 - 2026

UPLAND, INDIANA – Pamela “Pam” Karleen McBride, age 89, died early on the morning of June 16, 2026, at University Nursing Center in Upland, Indiana. Pam was born on July 19, 1936, to the late Samuel and Opal (Stegner) McBride. She was the third of four girls. Pam graduated from Weiser High School in 1954. She moved to Salem, Oregon, in the late 1960s and worked at the Salem Public Library as a book mender for 30 years before retiring. While in Salem she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Salem.

Pam moved to Greeley, Colorado, in 2006 to live near her nieces Debby and Rachel. While living in Colorado, she attended Grace Church in Greeley and was an active member of the resident board at Greeley Senior Housing. She once again chose to follow her niece Rachel and family as they moved to Shelbyville, Indiana, in 2014, and when they moved to Marion, Indiana, in 2016, where she lived with them for 3 years before moving into a nursing home. Pam was an active member at New Hope Baptist Church in Gas City, Indiana, as her health allowed.

In addition to her parents, Pam is preceded in death by her sisters, Eunice (Al) Guerrant and Helen (Lee) McNinch; nephews and nieces, Robert Guerrant, Ray Guerrant, Allen Guerrant, Nelda Jo Guerrant, Marguerite Guerrant, and Jerry Alexander.

She is survived in death by her baby sister, Mary (Mike) Pinkerton; her nieces, Debby (Jaramine) Fellows, and Rachel (Curtis) Rhoadarmer; and great nieces and nephews, Emily, Elijah, Isaiah Fellows, Noah, Hannah Rhoadarmer, Meg Guerrant, Sam (Rhonda) Guerrant, Marcella (Frank) Mather, Susan Alexander, Virginia (Dave) Rajala, Carol McNinch, Frances (Ed) Renk, Betsy (Bruce) Mullen, Peter (Addie) McNinch; and many more beloved great nephews and nieces.

Pam loved Jesus, basketball, crocheting, puzzling, traveling, The Gaither’s, and giving joy to everyone around her by calling them “trouble”.

The Family will host a Memorial Services at 2:30 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at New Hope Baptist Church, 800 South C Street, Gas City, Indiana 46933, with Pastor Curtis Rhoadarmer officiating. A visitation is not scheduled prior to service. All cards and memorial gifts may be made to the mission organization: Be One Together and sent to New Hope Baptist Church in honor of Pam.
