1963 - 2026
ELWOOD, INDIANA – Scott Alan Thompson, age 62, of Elwood, died on July 16, 2026. Scott was born on December 27, 1963, in Chester, PA to the late Kenneth E. and Shirley A. Thompson (Kitchen). Scott served in the United States Army. He worked at Bottcher America Corporation in Tipton, IN for 27 years as an Industrial Print & Press Roller Machinist.
In his free time, Scott enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts, often attending “Colts Camp”, the Indiana Pacers, Nascar, and Indy 500 races. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Lydia. Scott’s friends and family will remember him most for his humor, kindness, caring nature, love of football, and his cat, “Ringo”. Scott was also a lifelong lover of music, especially rock music. He loved being a part of the drum corps for the Marion High Steppers, as a child, and continued playing drums throughout his life.
Scott is survived by his children, Lydia Thompson of Muncie, IN and Errick Easterday of Louisville, KY; siblings, Kenneth C. (Barbara) Thompson, Warren Thompson, Karen (Dewayne) Corn, and remaining family, Melissa Thompson of Hartford City, IN, as well as several nieces and nephews.
