In loving memory of
Trent A. Ellis
1966 - 2024
ROANOKE, IN – Trent A. Ellis, age 58, of Roanoke, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on January 7, 1966, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Ruth (Gas) Ellis and the late James “Jim” Ellis.
Trent is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Denise (Sparks) Ellis, whom he married on October 4, 1989; his daughter, Cailin Ellis of Breckenridge, Colorado; his son, Calab (Kelli Brown) Ellis of Roanoke; and three beloved grandchildren, Ethan, Ella, and Emma. He also leaves behind his siblings, Donna (Jim) Duncan, Dawn (Glenn) Osterman, Annette (John) Radosevich, Renee Ellis, and Kevin Ellis, as well as a wide circle of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
An adventurous spirit, Trent thrived on excitement, whether riding four-wheelers, snowmobiles, or motorcycles. He was a builder at heart, crafting everything from homes to zip lines, and his creativity left an indelible mark on his family and community. He was a man of tradition, joyfully eating ice cream every single day of the year—often documented on Facebook for all to follow. Trent loved life’s simple joys, finding waterfalls with his wife.
Trent was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who inspired his family to value experiences over possessions, embrace their creativity, and work hard to fully enjoy life’s rewards. His legacy is one of laughter, love, and the enduring lessons he shared. Trent encouraged those around him to lead with kindness, and treasure time spent with loved ones. His humor, warmth, and vibrant energy left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Visitation will be 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Roanoke Brethren Church, 415 S. Main Street, Roanoke, Indiana 46783.
