Trena Kay Tucker
1951 - 2025
ANDREWS, IN - Trena Kay (Beam) Tucker, age 73, of Andrews, Indiana, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She was born on August 24, 1951, to the late Leroy Wayne and Treva Eileen (Stout) Beam. In addition to her parents, Trena joins in heaven her mother-in-law, Mary Jane Tucker; her father-in-law, William Frances Tucker, her stepmother, Maxine Beam; her brothers-in-law, Michael Nielander, Sr., and Joe Bubisha Tucker; his sister-in-law, Betty Lou Tucker; her nephew, James Leroy Beam; and his niece, Abigail Rae Mullikin.
Trena is survived by her husband, of 43 years, Frank Tucker; her stepsons, Jason James Ross, and Jason Tucker; her brother, Duane Lee Beam and spouse, Carol Jean (Stuckman); her sisters, Rhea Carol Mullikin and spouse Donald Wayne, Maureen Sue Dalrymple and spouse Paul Eugene, Mary Lenora Nielander and partner Lewis Johnson and Lela Louise Wohlford and spouse William Eric; and lots of nieces and nephews.
Trena was a 1969 graduate of Oak Hill High School and attended Indiana Wesleyan University. As a child and teen, she loved to sew and help garden. She was active in 4-H where she learned to cook and sew, crochet and garden. She and her sisters helped do much of the preservation of the garden produce. She, along with her siblings, loved to hike in the nearby woods and pick berries. She also spent a lot of time caring for and helping entertain her younger sisters. In her younger years she was active in the church her family attended throughout the years. Although she did not attend church as often as she would have liked in her later years, she loved the Lord and worshiped every week with Shepard Chapel.
Trena met her husband, Frank Tucker, at United Technologies Electronic Controls in Converse, Indiana, where they were both employed. They have enjoyed their cats throughout the years in Andrews, Indiana where they currently reside. Trena loved to quilt and crochet in her free time. She created beautiful and intricate lace doilies, baby hats, clothes, as well as afghans. She also designed, sewed, and finished beautiful quilts, all of which she shared with family members. She also donated many of her creations to the elderly and those of lesser means.
