1960 - 2026
ANDERSON, INDIANA – Teresa Helene “Terri” Merryman, age 65, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 8:49 PM at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Anderson, Indiana. She was born on August 27, 1960, to Ted and Norma (Arling) Cox at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She attended Springboro Schools from grades K-12 and graduated in 1979. Following graduation, her family moved to Anderson, Indiana in June 1979.
Terri continued her education at Ivy Tech in Muncie, Indiana where she earned an associate degree in early childhood development. After graduation she served as a live-in nanny for 3 distinguished families for over 25 years in Virgina and Maryland.
On October 4, 2003, Terri married the love of her life Timothy Merryman, and the two started their lives in Anderson, Indiana, where they shared unforgettable memories. She also continued her career as a childcare teacher in the community.
Terri is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Timothy Merryman of Anderson, Indiana; father, Ted Cox of Muncie, Indiana; 2 sisters, Tamara (Randy) Faw of Connersville, Indiana and Nichole Cox of Seneca, South Carolina; 3 brothers, Timothy (Marsha) Cox of Anderson, Indiana, Thomas (Jennifer) Cox of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Noah Cox of Anderson, Indiana; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her mother, Norma Cox; loving sister in-law, Marquita Cox; and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 11:00AM-12:00PM at Anderson First Church of the Nazarene, 2324 Jackson Street, Anderson, Indiana 46016. A funeral service will follow at 12:00PM at the church with Pastor Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 E Lytle 5 Points Road, Centerville, Ohio 45458.
