WOLCOTTVILLE, IN – Beverly Anne Gilliland, age 90, of rural Wolcottville, died peacefully on March 7, 2025. She was born on August 28, 1934, in LaGrange, IN to the late Harold and Retha (Cook) Bovee. She was a 1952 graduate of Salem Center High School and later obtained her bachelor’s degree from Goshen College. On November 22, 1958, in South Bend, IN, she married her sweetheart, Blaine Gilliland, and the two began raising a family. Beverly worked as a homemaker, was the bookkeeper for the family implement business, and was a substitute teacher for Prairie Heights School Corporation. She was also a 4H leader for over 65 years, Sunday School teacher, and Children's Choir Director. Friends and family will remember her for being a prolific note writer and rarely missed any event a family member participated in, until this past year as her health declined.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Stump and her brothers, Byron and Norman.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 66 years, Blaine Gilliland; children, Brent (Vicki) Gilliland, Brian Gilliland, Brenda (Dan) Avery, Bradley (Michel) Gilliland, and Barbara (Roy) Howe; grandchildren, Amber (Brandon) Collins, Jaclyn (Joe) Dees, Abigail (Tanner) Perkins, Charity (Jared) Seider, Joshua (Kaylee) Avery, Aaron (Brittainy) Gilliland, Austin (Hannah) Gilliland, Erica (Gabriel) Miller, Amanda (Ty) Krusz, Brandon (Sarah) Gilliland, Evan (Mickelle) Gilliland, Brandon (Tosha) Howe, and Bret (Andrea) Howe, and 26 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 PM at New Life Apostolic Church, 609 Patty Lane, Kendallville, IN 46755, as well as on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 AM, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor Austin Gilliland. Burial will be at Lake Bethel Cemetery, LaGrange, IN. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Tuesday between 2:00-4:00 PM.
