Leah Miller
1928 - 2025
LEO, INDIANA – Leah Miller, age 96, of Harlan, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025. She was born on July 27, 1928, in Allen County, Indiana to the late Jacob and Barbara (Eicher) Kauffman. On August 17, 1948, she married the late Henry Miller in New Haven, Indiana.
Leah was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening. Though she and Henry did not have children of their own, she loved many extended “grandchildren.” She also enjoyed her dog. Leah was a “spicy” lady, in that she had no problem telling you her mind, yet she always cared for others and loved to show her sense of humor and laughter. She was a very competitive Rook player, but in her later years, she enjoyed a good game of Bingo. She was a longtime member of the Pleasant Lake Community Church.
In addition to Leah’s husband and parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Anna Kauffman, Kathryn Hershberger, and her brothers, Henry (Clara Miller) Kauffman,and Samuel (Nancy Herschberger) Kauffman. She is survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family will receive visitors at Pleasant Lake Community Church 5142 S. Old Hwy 27, Pleasant Lake, IN on Thursday, April 10th from 1:00-4:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM the same day. Interment will be at the Hillside Cemetery immediately following the service.
