HICKSVILLE, OHIO - Dorothy Lorene (Good) Cassidy, age 75, of Hicksville, OH (formerly Delphos, OH) entered her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 6, 2025, at Vancrest of Hicksville. She was born on October 28, 1949, in Goshen, IN to the late Ira D. and Mary Anne (Slabach) Good.

Dorothy married John Cassidy on July 29, 1985. He preceded her in death. She attended Elida Mennonite Christian Day School and Gomer High School. She was a member of Pike Mennonite Church of Elida, OH.

Dorothy served as a volunteer for many years at the Lima Crisis Pregnancy Center and the Hilty Home Day Care of Pandora. She loved children and was blessed by over 100 nieces and nephews, who she faithfully prayed for. She loved to sing, laugh, and share in family gatherings.

She is survived by brothers, John(Rosemary)of Bluffton, OH, Daniel (Rachel) of Thompson Falls, MT, Ira (Deb) of Continental, OH, and Paul (Michelle) of Oneida, KY; sisters, Naomi(Bob)Yoder of Hicksville, OH and Fannie Ellen Flint of Hicksville, OH; a sister-in-law, Velda (Edwin) Good of Continental, OH.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edwin “Ed” Good and Weldon Good; sister-in-law, Lavina Good; niece, Christina (Steve) Miller and their 3 daughters.

A visitation will be held at the Pike Mennonite Church, 3995 McBride Rd. Elida, OH, October 11, 2025, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Matt Cordella officiating. Interment will take place at the church cemetery.

Flowers may be delivered to the church on Saturday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions can be shared with the family to assist with funeral expenses or given to Pike Mennonite Church.
