Middletown, Ohio – Phillip Eugene Richmond, age 65, of Middletown, died on May 11, 2026. Phillip was born on December 24, 1960, in Middletown, Ohio to the late James Harding Richmond and Wanda Barrentine. Phillip was a graduate of Middletown
High School. On March 9, 1991, in Middletown, Ohio he married his sweetheart, Angela, and the two began building a life together.
Phillip was a self-employed contractor specializing in flooring and ceramic tile for over 40 years and retired in 2018. In his free time, Phillip enjoyed fishing, camping, precious stone mining, and spending time with his family. Phillip will be remembered most by those who loved him for his big heart, his quiet strength, the deep love he had for his family, and the countless moments that became treasured memories.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 35 years, Angie; children, Heather (Kyle) Frisch, David (Tabitha) Heavrin and Deborah Vires; siblings, Debbie (Dusty) Birch, Pam (Danny) Manley, Paula (Darrell) Williams, Kim (Barry) Taylor, Mark (Becky) Richmond; grandchildren, McKinzie, Rileigh, Aubree, Trentlee, Caden, Wilmaris, Wilson, Yari, Anthony, Michael, and Terrence; great grandchildren, Braven and the anxiously awaited Novalee due in June; as well as 21 nieces and nephews; 39 great nieces and nephews, and 20 great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, James H. and Gary D. Richmond.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 12:00-1:00 PM at Quest Church, 6933 Hendrickson Rd, Middletown, Ohio 45044. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM officiated by Pastor Ken Henderson. Burial will take place at Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton,
Flowers may be delivered to the church on Tuesday between 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the church or to the Hospice of Middletown, in Phillip’s honor.
