1948 - 2024
GREENVILLE, OHIO – Richard Albert Spaulding, age 75, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Versailles Rehab. He was born on December 18, 1948, in Newark, Ohio to the late Frank and Myrtle (Zornes) Spaulding.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by wife, Elaine Spaulding; his stepdaughter, Sherry Montz; his siblings, Frances “Frankie” (Bob) Farmer and Steven (Carolyn) Spaulding.
He is survived by his daughter, Angi Spaulding of Greenville; his stepchildren, Clay (Diane) Montz of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Tammy Bartrug of Norwood, North Carolina; his grandchildren, Colton Andrews, Kirsti Frenton, Destin Richardson, Ashley (Cole) Connell, and Alex (Anastasia) Vanick; his step grandchildren, Angil, Andrew, Skylar, Jonathan, Damon, Devin, and Jorden. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Arabella, Nevaeh, Gabriel, Gavin, Scarlet, and Violet; his step great grandchildren, Logan and Greyson; and his siblings, Mike (Sue) Spaulding of Newark, and Celia “Rusty” (Harold) Hedrick of New Port Richey, Florida.
Richard was a truck driver and loved driving. He retired from trucking in 2018 after 36 years and millions of miles. He was a gun enthusiast and had quite the collection of firearms. Richard was a social butterfly who enjoyed meeting and talking to people. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and will be missed by everyone.
