GREENVILLE – Emerson D. Brewer, age 90, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on his birthday, Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. He was born on January 30, 1935, in Bradford, Ohio, to the late Noah and Erma (Keihl) Brewer. In addition to his parents, Emerson was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Brewer; his son, Mark Brewer; his brother, Dave Brewer; and his sister, Lois Ary.

Emerson is survived by his children, Allen (Carol) Brewer, and Lori (Woody) Conway; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren; and countless other nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Emerson enjoyed traveling, camping and was quite good at telling funny stories. When he could, you would find him watching baseball and feeding his passion for reading and learning about historical events.

Emerson’s family will be receiving guests from 1 PM until 2 PM on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Trinity Wesleyan Church, 1400 E Main St, Greenville, OH 45331. A funeral celebrating his life will follow at 2 PM at the church with Pastor Drew Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Ft. Jefferson.

It is requested that no flowers or gifts be sent but instead memorial contributions may be made to either the charity of your choice or to the church in honor of Emerson. However, if you still choose to send flowers, they may be delivered to the church on Thursday, February 7th between 11 AM and 1 PM.
