ARCANUM, OHIO - George Scott Combs, age 52, of Arcanum, died suddenly on June 20, 2026. George was born on October 11, 1973, in New Jersey, to the late James Arlan and Helen Marie (Leo) Combs. George attended Franklin Monroe schools and later obtained his GED. George worked for several years as an over-the-road truck driver with his mother, Helen. In his free time, George enjoyed collecting military memorabilia, Legos, antiques, puzzles, and shooting guns. He belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church, 4-H, and FFA. George was much like his brother, always wanting to help others anywhere he could. He loved his animals, family, and friends. His favorite holidays were Halloween and Christmas.

George is survived by his aunts, Anna Miller of (city), Florida and Karen Cummins of Palestine, Ohio, several cousins, and close friend, Tina Wolfe.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Mollie Leo, and his brother, James Arlen Combs Jr.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 8520 Oakes Road, Pitsburg, OH 45358. A memorial service will follow at the church on Tuesday at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor Mel Musser. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Tuesday between 9:00 – 11:00 AM. Memorial donations may be made to the church or to (charity name), in George’s honor. Donation envelopes will be provided at the church.
