DEFIANCE, OH - Phyllis Ann (Gray) Snyder, 92, of Defiance, fell asleep in the arms of the Lord at Kingsbury Trustwell Living on October 10, 2024. She is now praising at the feet of Jesus with her husband, Richard, her parents, Merle and Josephine Gray, and numerous other family and friends. Phyllis was born on November 10, 1931, in Napoleon, Ohio. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and GiGi. Prior to the passing of her husband, Richard, they enjoyed traveling and spending quiet times together. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and connecting with friends on Facebook. Phyllis’ biggest passion was cleaning her home, which gave her much satisfaction and as she said, she could rest better knowing that the house was clean. She was a long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Phyllis was a loving mother to her three children, Randy (Nancy) Snyder of Defiance, Shelly (Tom) Dobbelaere of Paulding, and Scott (Staci) Snyder of New Philadelphia. She is also loved by and will be greatly missed by 7 grandchildren, Desirae (Dan) Hagerman, Adam (Stacy) English, Kari (Ryan) Crilow, Shane (Ashley) Snyder, Cory (Nicki) Snyder, Ryan (Holly) Snyder, and Kyle Snyder, 17 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and the love of her life, Richard Snyder.

A service honoring Phyllis’ life will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 413 E. 2nd Street, Defiance, OH 43512, on Tuesday October 15, 2024. Visitation will start at 11:00am and the service at 1:00pm, with Pastor Scott Snyder officiating. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be directed towards Kingsbury Place Activities Department, Trinity United Methodist Church, or Elara Caring Hospice. However, if sending flowers, they may be delivered to the church on Tuesday between 9:00-11:00am.
